All boys and Pack Leaders wear a scouting uniform for our regular meetings. For the boys this instills a feeling of belonging together, and reminds them of the level of behavior that is expected of a Scout. For the adult leader it sets a good example for the boys, and instills a sense of authority at meetings and events. Cub Scouts Need To Buy:
Optional Items:
We do not require the boys to wear the official pants or socks, but blue pants/short are preferred. Pants/shorts should have belt loops, as most awards are placed on the belt. If a tan shirt is worn, green pants/shorts should be worn. For outdoor events and camp, we recommend our "Class B" uniform, which is a Pack 199 t-shirt, available for purchase at most Pack meetings ($15). It is available in youth and adult sizes. Patch placement on uniform shirt: http://www.scouting.org/filestore/pdf/34282.cubscout.final.pdf Interactive Patch Placement Guide: Patches can be sewn on the uniform (by hand or by machine). You may wish to find a tailor or seamstress who can do the job. Alternatively, you can purchase Badge Magic iron-on strips at the Scout shop.
